Introducing Blue Crab Press Epicurean
What began a few short years ago as part-time manuscript editing for a handful of authors, has today evolved into a unique blend of both Traditional and Subsidy Publishing for Blue Crab Press Epicurean. Although our attention as a publishing house is keenly focused on assisting authors in “self-publishing” their cook books, Blue Crab Press will also publish a cook book “traditionally” by purchasing a manuscript from the author and paying royalties.

The advantage to the author of this blending of publishing models is obvious. Blue Crab Press has the marketing tools in place to promote the titles that are proprietary to Blue Crab Press, and can make them available to the self-published author. However, the greatest advantage to the author is that each project is treated the same no matter who owns the copyright! In essence, you the author join our editorial and creative staff in the hands-on production of your cook book. There are no templates to choose from, no “pre-designed” book covers to add your title to. Every book project is unique and prepared for printing one at a time.
